Synthesizers
The Reaktor Session library offers a world-renowned collection of synthesizers, from analog-modelling to FM, from wavetable to additive. Each synthesizer includes many presets for an astonishing range of sounds right out of the box. The fourth-generation DSP algorithms of the REAKTOR 4 engine ensure that the sound quality is exceptionally bright, warm, and clear.
Samplers and Transformers
The sampler and transformers included in Reaktor Session range from quick and convenient sampling to full granular workouts. Resynthesis instruments vary speed, pitch, and formant independently, and can even freeze the sound in time. Samples can easily be loaded via drag and drop from the integrated browser into a comfortable, graphical sample mapper.
Live Performance and Sequencers
Reaktor Session, with configurable MIDI control and latencies significantly lower than most hardware devices (with a high-performance ASIO soundcard), is an excellent tool for performing live. Naturally any of the included synthesizers, samplers, or effects can be played live, but a number of dedicated live performance tools are also included.
Effects
Reaktor Session includes several studio-ready effects. Smooth reverbs, vintage delays, and an amp simulator provide good starting points for sound mixing and exploration.

The instrument takes its power from the 96 parallel voices spread across the entire frequency spectrum. Each voice is shaped by an envelop, while a bandpass filter modified its frequency content. A final panning section positions the signal in the stereo field.
  • * Metaphysical Function — taking full advantage of REAKTOR’s potential to create unique instruments, this synthesis machine offers a vast, unparalleled sonic palette ranging from beautiful soothing tones to dark, disturbing soundscapes. More than just a synthesizer, Metaphysical Function offers a truly engaging experience. Equipped with several effect units, its main concept is to constantly alter the level of parallel oscillators to create inspiring soundscapes.
  • * Skrewell — an unusual sound generator whose output can range from meditative atmospheres to crackling harshness. Its engine uses eight parallel oscillator sections that integrate filters and delay feedback to blend everything into one complex signal. Skrewell is designed to be manipulated intuitively. Therefore, all important parameters have been mapped to the KORE 2 and KORE Player controllers for fluid and fast interaction.
  • * Newscool — a REAKTOR classic with an innovative sequencer and characteristic sound engine consisting of a tone generator and a multi-effect unit. Eight parallel oscillator units are modulated extensively, producing a signal to which effects are added. The sequencer is based on the “Life” cellular automation game developed by mathematician John Conway, and enables highly organic evolution of patterns and events.
  • * and the all new Spiral sequencer, a generative MIDI sequencer developed by Lazyfish (Alexander Potekhin) for Animated Circuits.

TRANSISTOR PUNCH contains a premium selection of drum hits, melodic synthesizer sounds, advanced multi-effect chains, and pre-programmed patterns full of dancefloor bounce. Developed by Surround SFX, over 900 samples of one-shot drum and multi-sampled instruments were created using modern and vintage drum machines and synthesizers as source material – plus unusual sources such as metal whisky boxes, glasses full of coffee beans, and ancient Swiss cowbells. The results are a MASCHINE EXPANSION that adds a carefully-crafted set of new and instantly useable sounds to your MASCHINE library.
All kits include stunning pre-programmed patterns and several full MASCHINE projects, several of which were created by Desolat recording artist and studio mastermind Martin Buttrich, also known for his work with Loco Dice and Timo Maas, among others.
Additionally, there are 20 advanced effect chains to compliment these hand-crafted sounds, which already contain tempo- synced effect sounds that make use of the newly redesigned sound slots in version 1.6 of MASCHINE.
A mind-boggling array of rare and highly sought-after sound sources were used for TRANSISTOR PUNCH – including the Roland TR-909, PEARL Syncussion SY-1, TAMA Techstar analog drum modules, Oberheim Xpander, Alesis Andromeda and Roland Jupiter 6, among many others.
All material was processed via a who’s who of analog and digital outboard gear such as the Symbolic Sound Kyma/Pacarana, a Neve 1073, an Elysia Alpha Compressor, Eventide H8000FW processors, and assorted Lexicon reverbs. The results are fat and dynamic sounds set to add seriously heavyweight punch to your MASCHINE productions.
TRANSISTOR PUNCH was developed by German sound designer Denis Gökdag, the man behind Surround SFX, and creator of TRANSISTOR RHYTHM, developed to complement this MASCHINE EXPANSION. Denis also created the versatile multi-effect-processors DEEP FREQ and DEEP RECONSTRUCTIONS for Native Instruments.
WAV samples will work in any DAW or Sampler
Massive presets may not work in Maschine but you should be able to manual load the samples in it.
